The Custard Apple, also known as the atemoya, is a tropical fruit found in South and Central America.
Growing to a length of about 1 meter and shaped like a football, this fruit can carry a startling resemblance to a head of cauliflower.
The flesh is creamy, sweet and sometimes compared to custard, hence its name.
Atemoya has been used for centuries for medicinal purposes.
It is rich in vitamins C and A, as well as fibre and phosphorus.
